"I have been working with Mr Dawson for a couple years through the guitar club at my school, and it is thanks to him that we've developed such a friendly and supportive community for young, developing musicians at Monk's Walk.
Mr Dawson is very approachable, knowledgeable, and friendly. He's always made attending the guitar club a pleasure for everyone and makes sure to cater to everyone's individual needs. This is evident with the introduction of the senior guitar club - an extra hour of club time for the more advanced guitarists in the school to collaborate on challenging and exhilarating projects together, as well as discussing technical ideas. Mr Dawson's years of experience shine through with his seemingly endless knowledge and advice which ranges from helping beginners learn the basics to helping me as an advanced player, improve my technique.

Carl has helped him discover the joy of playing the guitar and expression through music in a cool relaxed setting.
Ben now spends less time gaming and more time practising and is determined to make something of himself with his music .
We love the way Carl is very laid back, patient and kind , his studio is a really funky , clean , and calm place to visit and it soon became clear to me after a few sessions that Carl really is not in this for the money . His lessons are such good value and he really finds a way to connect with his students and clearly enjoys seeing his students progress.
I feel Carl wants to help kids and adults develop in playing instruments as his no1 priority and to him this is much more important than making tons of money ( unlike many other teachers we found previously). We love his style of teaching too and he has a good sense of humour which Ben really connects with.
We are so glad we found Carl , now Ben has so much more focus and wants to go to university and study music , when before he used to get stressed as he had no idea what he may want to do in his future and felt a little bit lost at times.
Thanks Carl for helping Ben gain so much more confidence and helping him in his recent performances , and thank you for being such a huge foundation part in helping Ben become so focused and determined wherever this music journey may take him .
